The original Writeside.com was one of the earliest sites of the Internet, dating to 1995. That first version of the site was a smorgasbord of reviews and opinion (i. e., a proto-blog) and I maintained it on a fairly regular basis for more than ten years. Some broken examples survive on the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine. The writeside.com domain has mainly been used for email in the years since. Speaking of which: if you have questions about this site or anything on it, please email infonow [at] writeside.com.

Thomas Pletcher: Writeside.com is a public journal for trying times.

Now that I’m devoting myself to writing full time, I’m bringing back Writeside.com on the web as a sort of public journal of that effort. I’ll cover subjects like NaNoWriMo and my resultant novel-in-progress (tentatively titled The Divide), but I won’t ignore what’s going on in the country and the world at large.

If you’re interested in writing and the creative process (or what’s going on in the country and the world at large), I hope you’ll find the site interesting. If you do, please join the conversation.
